Three British sides remain in the last eight of the Europa League will all of them facing tricky ties in their quest to make it into the semi-finals. Manchester United, Tottenham and Rangers have 'all or nothing' matches in this competition with their domestic campaigns being all but over. One thing is for certain, at least one of them will make it to Bilbao where the final is being held, and that is Rangers, who must overcome Athletic Bilbao if they are to earn their right to return there in just over a months time. Bilbao come into this round of fixtures as the slight favourites for the crown, ahead of Manchester United who must overcome a difficult two-legged tie against Lyon.

BODO/GLIMT VS LAZIO

Despite being the outsiders of the remaining eight sides, Norwegian Champions Bodo/Glimt represent a tough assignment for League Phase table toppers Lazio. Olympiakos, Porto and Besiktas have all come away empty handed from Aspmyra Stadion this season in this competition, and Lazio will need to be at the top of their game to ensure they do not add their name to that list. They have only tasted defeat once thus far in the Europa League this season, when falling to a 1-0 defeat away in Braga. However, they were fortunate at times to get the better of Czech side Viktoria Plzen in the Last 16, and will need to be better here to get past Bodo/Glimt.

Bodo are an unpredictable side who have punched well above their weight in European competition in recent seasons, one thing that is certain is the amount of goals that are in the matches that they are involved in. They have averaged 4.47 goals per game in their last nineteen home games, with there being at least three goals in all of those nineteen. I have been drawn to the 10/11 available on that to become twenty consecutive games here, with this landing in all but one of their ten Europa League games this season, and this having a 60% strike rate in Lazio's European matches. The Italian side are averaging 2.6 goals per game across their last 20 away matches, and that could easily continue away in Norway here.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR VS EINTRACHT FRANKFURT

It is do or die for Tottenham and Ange Postecoglu in the Europa League this season with this rating as Spurs' only hope of getting their hands on a trophy. They look all but certain to finish in the bottom half of the Premier League for the first time since 2008 - incidentally, the last year they won a trophy. That feels as if it's the only outcome that would save Postecoglu's job in North London with fan unrest growing by the second as Spurs' struggles have continued. A tie against 2022 Champions Eintracht Frankfurt isn't an ideal draw for the Australian's side, however, they will be expected to progress nevertheless and getting a positive result at home will be imperative should they have aspirations of making it into the last four.

This looks set to be a fiery affair, especially within the Tottenham ranks who look to keep their season alive across the next two matches in this competition. That has drawn my eye to the prices within the cards markets, and specifically to Tottenham midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur, the Uruguayan has been carded 11 times in 2,275 minutes of football this season. He isn't walking the proverbial 'suspension tightrope' coming into this one having served his suspension for accumulation of yellow cards in the last round against AZ Alkmaar. He was carded when these sides met in the 2022/23 Champions League Group Stages, and against a Frankfurt side who have a seen an opposing central midfielder carded in eight of their last thirteen matches, the 18/5 on offer for Bentancur to find his way into the referee's notebook looks massive.
