Wolves were denied a place in the last eight of the FA Cup via a penalty shootout at Bournemouth last Saturday, despite having a penalty to win the shootout. They turn their attention back to league action, and trying to ensure that they are playing Premier League football again next season. They'll have to play their next three matches without star man Matheus Cunha, following the Brazilian's outburst late in extra-time last weekend. Cunha has scored five of Wolves' last eight goals, and they'll have to find a goalscoring touch from somewhere else in the upcoming weeks. They welcome and Everton side to Molineux which has been rejuvenated under David Moyes, with them unbeaten in seven league matches under the Scot. Despite that unbeaten run, they still only sit just one place ahead of Wolves, albeit ten points better off. A win on the road here would see them jump up to thirteenth in the table with the three sides directly above them all in action at a later point of the matchweek.
New Everton signing Carlos Alcaraz has impressed in his two starts for the Toffees since his signing from Flamengo in January. That should be enough to keep the Argentinian in the starting lineup for this one, even with the return of Abdoulaye Doucoure. I was surprised to see the price on offer for Alcaraz to register 2+ shots in this one. He has taken at least two shots in 12 of his last 15 starts, averaging 3.08 shots per 90 in those matches. Against a Wolves side who are facing an average of 13.28 shots per game this campaign, I'd back Alcaraz to have the freedom to shoot, once again. Alcaraz has taken five shots in each of his starts for Everton, and I'm happy to take a small punt on 3+ and 4+ shots as well.
