SANDRO WIESER - TO BE CARDED - 12/5 (QUINN BET) - 1PT
There was a lack of shocks during Saturday's World Cup Qualifying, with North Macedonia, Norway and Montenegro securing comfortable victories over inferior opposition, while Czech Republic recorded a workmanlike win at home to the Faroe Islands. Craig Bellamy also maintained his unbeaten start as Wales Head Coach, with a 3-1 win over Kazakhstan in Cardiff. They face a tricky trip to North Macedonia, in what is likely to prove a critical match in their bid to qualify for a second consecutive World Cup Finals.
MOLDOVA VS ESTONIA
Despite enjoying some strong form across the last two years, Moldova were brought back down to earth on Saturday when Norway dismantled them 5-0 in their opening qualifying match. They'll hope to return to their recent form when they welcome Estonia to Chisinau. The visitors haven't tasted victory on their travels in over two years, and will have their work cut out in this tricky tie.
I am keen to get Moldova on side here, as I can see them taking the game to the Estonians. They have averaged 4.87 corners in their last fifteen home games, and against an Estonia side who are facing an average of 7.26 corners across their last nineteen away matches, it's hard to see Moldova not recording at least five. The style of play from both sides will be crucial in this one, with Moldova averaging 15.17 crosses per game in their last 30 matches, while Estonia are facing an average of 19.59 crosses in that time frame. With the number of crosses likely from the hosts, it's likely that they'll be cleared for corners, and I feel that they could run up a large number of corners, against what the line suggests in the market.
LIECHTENSTEIN VS KAZAKHSTAN
It was much of the same for Liechtenstein when they kicked off their World Cup Qualifying campaign on Saturday at home to North Macedonia. They have never avoided defeat in any of their World Cup Qualifying openers, and they fell to a 3-0 defeat against much superior opposition. It's likely that they'll suffer the same fate here when Kazakhstan visit Vaduz, despite this being a far easier task. They have only avoided defeat in 1 of their last 25 World Cup Qualifiers, and Kazakhstan will be looking to bounce back from the defeat they suffered in Cardiff against Wales on Saturday evening.
I'm going to be loyal to a selection that was a losing one on Saturday in Liechtenstein's opener, with backing Sandro Wieser to pick up a card. The 12/5 on offer for him to find his way into the referee's notebook is a massive price, given the veteran's record. Wieser has been carded 36 times in 3,670 minutes across the last two seasons for club and country, including being carded in five of his last seven for his nation. Scottish referee John Beaton is in charge of this one, and he is averaging 5.32 cards per game this season, so it shouldn't take too much from Wieser to earn a place in his notebook.
