ARSENAL VS MANCHESTER UNITED
Arsenal will be hoping to keep their hopes alive of a trophy this season here, given their 2-0 home defeat to Newcastle on Tuesday evening. That left the Gunners up against it in the Carabao Cup and likely relying on the FA Cup as their most realistic opportunity for silverware this season. Ruben Amorim will be hoping to keep his side's chances of retaining the FA Cup alive on the back of a promising performance at Anfield a week ago.
Within the player card markets there are a couple of Arsenal players who represent good value, these being Mikel Merino and Gabriel Jesus. The former has committed 1.92 fouls per 90 since his move from Real Sociedad in the summer, and has picked up 17 cards across the last two seasons. Jesus has picked up two cards in his three previous appearances against Man United in an Arsenal shirt - with the occasion he didn't when he only featured for 8 minutes. The Brazilian is averaging 1.86 fouls committed per 90 this season and in what could be a hotly contested fixture, I can see him doing enough to get the attention of referee Andy Madley.
SOUTHAMPTON VS SWANSEA CITY
Premier League basement boys Southampton will be hoping to record a third victory against Championship opposition in a cup competition this season. Swansea visit St Mary's with the boost of manager Luke Williams appearing to be staying put following interest from West Brom. Relegation seems like a forgone conclusion for Southampton this season, and focusing on the FA Cup is probably not the worst idea, given their priorities won't lie elsewhere.
Since the introduction of Ivan Juric in the Southampton dugout, there has been a distinct rise in the number of fouls being committed by his Saints side. One player at the heart of that is Taylor Harwood-Bellis, the England U21 captain has committed six fouls across Juric's three matches and has picked up a card in two of these. Given his price of 7.50, I am happy to take advantage of this.
LAS PALMAS VS GETAFE
Las Palmas enter this one unbeaten in four matches, which includes a famous victory at the Nou Camp over Barcelona. They welcome a Getafe side who find themselves outside of the La Liga relegation zone on goal difference. Getafe are the 'card kings' when it comes to La Liga and against a Las Palmas side who have managed more cards than Getafe this season, it is likely that there will be plenty of cards on show here.
Among those who represent value within the player card markets is Las Palmas centre back Alex Suarez, with 14 cards since the start of last season, and has already served a suspension for his accumulation of yellow cards. I have the price of Suarez to pick up a card around 4.15, so am happy to take full advantage of the 5.40 on offer here. From a Las Palmas centre back to a Getafe one, and Dakonam Djene, the veteran Getafe defender is on course to pick up his usual dose of cards in La Liga, he has 20 cards across the last two seasons, and I was surprised to him priced up at 3.75. Another overpriced player within the Getafe ranks is Mauro Arambarri, the Uruguayan is no stranger to a card and has picked up 7 yellow cards across his last 1,450 La Liga minutes. Given his historic record of cards, I am happy to take advantage of the 4.00 on offer.
