BEST BETS:

MOISES CAICEDO - TO BE CARDED - 11/5 (BET VICTOR) - 1PT

Prior to Wednesday evening, Manchester City had won four of their last five, and their usual form that takes them from January to the end of the season looked to be underway. However, a third two-goal capitulation in just fourteen matches has left them essentially with a play-off match against Club Brugge this week to ensure they progress into the Champions League knockout stages. This could leave their priorities elsewhere when it comes to this weekend's fixture against Chelsea, and Enzo Maresca will be hoping to get one over on his former boss here. Chelsea had the luxury of not having a European endeavour this week, however, they are yet to feel the effects of fixture congestion given the depth to their squad. That being said, the first pinch on the Chelsea squad was felt in their victory over Wolves on Monday evening - Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall found himself with a place in the starting lineup owning to injuries to Enzo Fernandez and Romeo Lavia.

Given the uncertainty surrounding Manchester City, it's hard to find much value to be had when analysing their fixtures, which has led me to swerving the majority of selections. However, given the injury questions surrounding the Chelsea midfield, there should be a starting place for Moises Caicedo in his more natural central midfield - Maresca has deployed the Ecuadorian in an unconventional position at right back recently, however, I can't see that being the case here, given the return to fitness of Reece James. Caicedo has been carded in all four of his appearances against Manchester City for Chelsea, and I am keen to get him onside to do so again here. He has picked up 19 cards since the start of last season, and given his record against his opponents here, I am happy to take the 11/5 on offer.
