Despite a derisory start to his Manchester United tenure, Ruben Amorim will be hoping that his side will be able to navigate their way through a cup tie against Leicester for the second time this season, and keep their hopes alive of retaining the FA Cup. Ruud van Nistelrooy returns to the Old Trafford touchline following his interim spell in charge of the Red Devils prior to Amorim's arrival, where he ended his Leicester side's Carabao Cup campaign and took three points off them in the Premier League. He'll be hoping to inflict yet more damage on his old side with a victory here.
Given their European exploits, the hosts have been spared a play-off tie in the Europa League, so Ruben Amorim will have the luxury on not needing to rotate his side too much here. Although, he may use this as the perfect opportunity to try and fine tune his system given it's current pitfalls. He should stick with Manuel Ugarte in central midfield, a player who he had at his disposal in his spell at Sporting Lisbon, and therefore should be capable of adapting to his style of play. The Uruguayan midfielder is averaging 4.15 tackles per 90 since his move from PSG and I am looking to exploit his price in the Tackles markets here. Ugarte has made at least three tackles in twelve of his fifteen starts, and has made at least four in eight of those. An opposing central midfielder has made 3+ tackles in seven of their last nine matches and I back Ugarte to continue that run here - he has made four and eight tackles respectively in the sides' two previous meetings this season. He is as short as 1/5 to make 3+ tackles elsewhere, and 2/5 to make 4+.
