MIDDLESBROUGH VS BLACKBURN:

Liverpool loanee Owen Beck has found a consistent run in the team as part of the Blackburn back four. During his loan spells at Blackburn and last season at Dundee the youngster has gained the knack of picking up a card, with him racking up 11 cards in just 2,465 minutes. The price of 41/10 really stands out.

LIVERPOOL VS ACCRINGTON STANLEY:

From one Liverpool youngster to another, this time it's James McConnell. The Melwood academy product has featured on a one occasion in Arne Slot's Liverpool side this season and picked up a card in the 27 minutes he played. I would anticipate him earning a starting spot against Accrington Stanley, and given his record of picking up cards, I am astounded that he is priced up at 11/1. In his 1,879 minutes across the last two seasons, McConnell has picked up 17 yellow cards and whilst this could be over as a contest very early on, I am happy to have a small play with such good value on offer.

BOURNEMOUTH VS WEST BROM

Manager-less West Brom head to Premier League side Bournemouth, where the Cherries have only faced defeat twice this season. In what could be a tough afternoon for the Championship side, I was drawn to the price of Callum Styles to pick up a card. The Hungarian has picked up 6 cards in just 1,053 minutes for the Baggies this season, and that stretches to 16 cards across the last two seasons. Facing a Bournemouth side who have seen at least one of the opposing central midfielders carded in 7 of their last 15 matches, I can see the price on Styles to pick up a card at 51/10 being made to look silly.

CHELSEA VS MORECAMBE

Much like their exploits in the Europa Conference League, Chelsea will no doubt field their second string squad in their third round tie against Morecambe. Just one place off the bottom of the Football League, The Shrimps head to Stamford Bridge having conceded 39 goals in the league this season. With competition for places in the Chelsea team as hot as ever, it is likely that the players selected here will be looking to make their mark. Therefore, I have taken the prices on both Marc Guiu and Christopher Nkunku to score a brace. Both should feature in the Chelsea frontline here and have both managed a brace in the Conference League this season. Enzo Maresca has tended to make limited substitutions this season, owing to the fact that he is fielding two squads across different competitions and should this continue here, both Guiu and Nkunku will have ample time to get amongst the goals.

NEWCASTLE VS BROMLEY

Bromley are enjoying their first season in the Football League and find themselves in mid-table in League Two. They'll look forward to their trip to St. James Park to face Carabao Cup semi-finalists Newcastle and following their victory at the Emirates on Tuesday night, I'd anticipate Eddie Howe rotating his squad heavily here due to the upcoming fixture congestion for Newcastle. One player who looks in contention to come into the Newcastle side is Harvey Barnes. He has been restricted to just appearances from the bench in recent weeks and I'm sure he will be chomping at the bit to get back into the starting eleven. He is priced at 13/8 to score against Bromley and I am happy to get involved at this price given Barnes' goalscoring record across the last two seasons, where he has managed 10 goals in just 1,814 minutes. Given the generous price of him to score twice, I have taken a small punt here as well.
