Whilst Enzo Maresca wouldn't accept that Chelsea were in a title race, I'm not sure he had his Chelsea side going winless in their next five league games on his Christmas list. That is just what he has got, however. They've gone from title challengers to top four challengers inside four weeks, and will want to return to winning ways here, to get themselves back inside the Champions League spaces. They host a Wolves side who have exited their 'honeymoon period' swiftly under new coach Vitor Pereira with a pair of 3-0 defeats at the hands of Nottingham Forest and Newcastle. They have profited from teams enduring a tough period during Pereira's reign, and will be hoping to benefit once again at the hands of a wounded Chelsea.
One major flaw that has dragged Wolves into a relegation battle this season is their inability to defend set-pieces. They boast the worst record in the league and conceding from dead-ball situations and I am keen to exploit this once again. There is some uncertainty surrounding the centre-back partnership we're likely to see here - injuries to Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile have ruled the pair of Frenchmen out, while Levi Colwill is a doubt after suffering an knock in the Blues' draw with Bournemouth last week. Therefore, I am happy to cover both Tosin Adarabioyo and Josh Acheampong to have a shot. At least one of these two should lineup here given the injuries suffered in defensive areas, and they both have solid records when it comes to recording shots. Acheampong has had at least one shot in his four starts this season, and against a Wolves side who have seen at least one opposing centre back have a shot in nine of their last fourteen Premier League games, I am happy to get stuck in on this continuing. Adarabioyo has had eleven shots in his last ten appearances, scoring three goals in that time, so I have also had a small play on each of the aforementioned players to get themselves on the scoresheet against this troublesome Wolves defence.
