Chelsea will be looking to keep with the pace in the Champions League race, when they welcome former manager Graham Potter and his West Ham side to Stamford Bridge. They could have been out of sight at Manchester City within 10 minutes last weekend. However, they failed to take their chances and due to their stubbornness, City were able to pick holes in their system and ran out comfortable winners. West Ham have taken four points from Graham Potter's first three matches in charge, and will be looking to steer themselves even further clear of the sides below them.
Enzo Maresca's Chelsea have only won one of their last seven matches in the Premier League, proving the Italian correct when he claimed that his side were not in the title race. They did however get back to winning ways at Stamford Bridge last time out when they comprehensively beat Wolves 3-1. Left back Marc Cucurella got himself on the scoresheet that evening, and I am keen to get him onside to do so once again on a Monday night. Cucurella has scored three goals in his last ten matches, so am happy to have a small play on the 12/1 on offer for him to find the net once again. The Spaniard has had 14 shots in his last 10 appearances, registering a shot in nine of those, so the 1/1 on offer for him to have at least one shot here seems generous.
As we can see from the heatmaps, Cucurella is occupying more of an advanced position under Maresca this season, than what he was under Pochettino last season. I feel that this is contributing in him getting involved in the attacks a lot more, and is why I am keen to take advantage of the prices on offer for this to continue here.
